What began with a focus on underground conveyor systems has grown into a trusted partner for advanced power and control systems across Australia. We’re still privately owned, still hands-on, and still committed to doing things properly—engineering smarter solutions, building them to last, and backing them with the kind of support you can rely on.
This is the Full Circle approach. From concept to commissioning, we work closely with clients to deliver practical solutions that reduce downtime and improve operational control.
We design advanced PLC and proprietary control systems for conveyors and industrial equipment. With experience across DC drives, VVVF and Flux Vector drives, slow-fill couplings and clutches, we’ve supported the industry’s shift to smarter, safer systems—starting with tripper drives in underground mining.
Our two-wire control systems simplify safety and control over long distances. Ringline, our flagship distributed E-stop system, is used widely across industrial environments. We also design embedded systems for testing units, shredders, pumps and more—always with reliability and simplicity in mind.
We don’t walk away when the install is done. Our team provides full programming, commissioning, SCADA integration and ongoing technical support. Every solution we deliver is backed by people who understand the stakes and care about getting it right.
We work with clients who value uptime, safety and operational clarity. That means listening, designing with care, building to withstand real conditions, and showing up when it matters. Continuous improvement isn’t just a technical goal—it’s how we operate.
Ringway’s story starts in Wollongong in the early 1990s, when two local engineers, Paul Owen and Peter Scifleet, set out to design smarter, safer electrical control systems for the mining industry. Starting small, they built a reputation for quality, reliability and innovation – working closely with mines in the Illawarra and Hunter regions.
As demand grew, so did the team. They moved into larger workshops, attracted industry-leading talent, and became known for engineering large-scale systems that worked reliably in tough conditions. Through acquisitions and partnerships, Ringway Systems were soon powering conveyor networks across Australia and beyond.
Despite changes in name and ownership over the years, the company’s heart never left Wollongong. We’ve been delivering reliable power and control systems for decades — and since 1999, under the Ringway name, we’ve continued to support the industries that keep Australia moving. We’re proud to be home-grown – with the experience, scale and stability to match any in the field.
